Davisville Moo-nlight Half Marathon and 5K

My hubby, son and I drove up to Davis in the morning to attend the Davisville Moo-nlight Half Marathon and 5K race.  We met up with my husband's sister who lives in Davis. We had lunch at Steve's Pizza, Pasta and Grill.  It was pretty good.  I had a mini turkey swiss sandwich with the salad bar, hubby had the Grilled Chicken & Mushroom Melt, my son had a personal pepperoni pizza and my sister-in-law had the Veggie Philly.  She showed us around downtown Davis.  We got some ice cream at Baskin Robbins.  It was pretty warm out.  We checked into our hotel room, went swimming and hung out in the room a bit then we met my sister-in-law for a lite dinner before we did the race.  We went to Pluto's for dinner.  We all got salads except hubby and son who got beef and mac and cheese.  It was good.  Then we went back to our hotel room to get changed for the race.  The race started half a block from our hotel.   Hubby, son and I did the 5k race.  My son started off with us then took off running. Hubby and I did a slow walk/jog.  I beat my time from the last race 5K race I did in May so I was happy.  It was cool running at night in the moonlight.  I was tired when I finished though.  It was late by the time we got back to the hotel.

The next morning we went down to the hotel's Continental Breakfast which was really good. The had pastries, hard boiled eggs, bagels with creme cheese, cereals, fruit, waffle station and a person making omelettes. The omelette guy made a mean omelette.  Then we rested before we had to check out. We went tot the nearby park so my son and hubby could play catch with the baseball then we cruised around Davis to see what was there.  We went over to our friend's house for lunch.  They have a pool so we swam a bit and hung out in the hot tub then we had some lunch.  We hung out after lunch while my son went for a swim again. Then we drove home.  It was a pretty easy drive home just a little backup at the Bay Bridge.  It was a lot colder when we got home.
