It wasn't as smoky today and the weather was pleasant, not too hot. The breakfast buffet which was included in our price was pretty good. We took the shuttle to Happy Isles to do the shorter walk to the falls which we never did see. I think there wasn't enough water for the falls to run. The trail was pretty, though, running by a stream full of cool water. My son and hubby dipped their feet in it and walked barefoot over the boulders and moss while I got some pictures of the mountains. Then we headed on the road to Tuolumne Meadows which is very pretty. We have never been on that side of Yosemite before. We stopped at a nice lake on the way out of the park and then over Tioga Pass and down. We stopped near Mono Lake and had some pretty good fish tacos at a restaurant near a gas station before we drove to the visitor center. It was warm and windy but strangely quiet. We took some picture and hopped back into our car and drove and drove. We wanted to see Mammoth Lake but didn't have time so we stopped at Twin Lakes which is very pretty. There is a footbridge over the lake and lots of people were swimming and hanging out.
