Making Gingerbread Houses

December 13, 2005

My son’s kinder class made gingerbread houses today.  They used graham crackers to build the houses.  The teacher made a house frame for them so all they had to do was to attach the graham crackers to the frame.  There was lots of candy for them to use on their houses. We brought in "gummy spiders". That was a big hit. We only bought one bag, maybe we should have bought more. The kids were studying spiders last month so my son thought it would be cool to buy the gummy spiders for the houses. It was fun watching how they each went about decorating their houses.  Some of them used lots of icing and candy and others used less icing and candy.  They had a great time!
