Earthquake

We had an exciting day.  At about 3:00 this afternoon we had an 3.4 earthquake. It was on a lesser known fault. I heard it coming a rumbling sound, the house shook for a few seconds, there was a big boom and then the power went out.  The power  finally came back on after an hour and a half. I have never felt an earthquake like that.  It was weird.  It scared me I thought something had exploded especially in light of the San Bruno gas explosion several months ago.  There were some small aftershocks but I didn't feel them.  It was kind of strange that today was also the 105th anniversary of the San Francisco 1906 earthquake and fire.
