Birth of Impressionism Exhibit
Yesterday hubby, the boy and I went to see the "Birth of Impressionism" exhibit at the De Young Museum. We went with my mother-in-law who had free tickets since she is a member of the museum. It was way too crowded so it was hard to see the painting. This is the first time we have been to the museum since they remodeled it. It is pretty big. The museum is a little too stark. The exhibit was okay. I'm not into the Impressionist paintings. This was part 1 of the tour and part 2 is opening in September. My son enjoyed it although he did get a little bored toward the end. Hubby wants to see part 2 so we will go with my mother-in-law for the members only opening of the exhibit.

The boy especially liked Manet's L'asperge
