3rd Grade Beach Day

My son had a beach day field trip today. All three third grade classes went. I was one of the chaperones. We all walked over to the beach since it is a block away from his school. It was gray and overcast though. It was a little cold but as the morning went on the wind picked up and it got a little colder. We were there for three hours. The kids had a great time playing in the sand. A lot of them were digging holes in the sand. Some brought Frisbees and balls to play with. After about 2 hours we had some lunch. Then we packed up our things and walked back to school where the kids had a half hour left before they got out. It was a fun beach day for the last week of school.
