Last Soccer Game of the Season

Today was my son's last soccer game for this season. It was an unusually warm day. The boys played very well. They have come along way since the beginning of the season. They scored a couple of goals and they held off the other team in the first half of the game. In the second half the other team scored some goals. My son played forward for the first half of the game and goalie the second half.

After the game they had their end of soccer party. The team parent ordered pizza and had her hubby pick it up and bring it to the soccer field. We found a place to eat our pizza. The boys got their soccer trophies. The trophies are really cool this year. The soccer ball spins around. After the party, we stayed a bit and watched is friend play the second half of his game. His friend scored two goals in the game. We saw him score one of them in the last quarter. Now we will have our Saturdays free until baseball starts in the Spring.

  1. My son played spring soccer this year. He turned out to be quite the goalie. Color me surprised!

  2. Now you have your Saturdays free from sport what will you do with all that time......?

As a brit I have to ask, do you understand the off-side rule, and if you do, will you explain it to me?
