My friend and I have been walking 3 days a week. We meet up after dropping our kids off at school. We walk along the beach path. The first week we walked to the top of the path. The next week we walked to the top and down one of the switch backs. The next week we went down three switch backs. Next week we will walk down the fourth switch back. Monday is a holiday our kids join us on our walk. They can ride their bikes or scooters. I need new exercise clothes now. I want pants, a jacket and a nice top. During the summer we will bring our kids with us when we go walking.

The first week we went out we saw a heron along the path. He was standing there by himself looking forlorn. We saw a yellow finch, a little lizard, lots of lady bugs and of course surfers. We see the same people walking the path. One of the days it was so windy out that we couldn't go walking along the beach so we walked around the neighborhood.


  1. I can't wait to get home and do some regular exercising again. We were trying to do 3 miles at least 3 times a week but were were up to 4 miles at least 5 days a week before we started traveling. Now we will have to start at 2 miles again. :)

  2. You know I might be more inclined to walk if I had a walking buddy. Lucky you. :)

  3. That is so great that you have a dear friend to walk with. I admire you for doing it every day. I wish I had your motivation.
