Really Fun Weekend Getaway!
We had a great weekend in Santa Barbara. It is about a 5-hour drive. The weather was really nice. It is so pretty in Santa Barbara and there are lots of great things to take pictures of. We saw Mission Santa Barbara (that is a huge mission and very pretty), The Natural History Museum has a giant blue whale skeleton at the entrance, we went on a land and sea tour (the tour was way cool. The amphibious vehicle the "Land Shark" is a 90-minute narrated adventure. First, we saw the historic landmarks and attractions in town. Then for the second portion of the tour, we splashed into the Santa Barbara harbor and cruised the Santa Barbara coastline. We saw a pelican, a sea lion, egret and a blue heron. We rode on an antique carousel. There is a nice playground next to the carousel that had a lot of cool things for the kids to play on. We had a great Italian dinner. Santa Barbara is a really nice town. It feels comfortable. There is a lot more things we want to see down there. There is a ton of things to do. The beaches are beautiful and the weather is great. We want to do a longer trip down there so we can explore the area more
