Exciting Soccer Game
The boys soccer team did an awesome job at their soccer game this morning. The weather was quite warm for 9:00 in the morning. They played hard in the heat. They all played a really good game and a team. There was a lot of good passing the ball to each other. They won 5-2. The team was fierce. My son got the "best defense" award today. It was a very exciting game. This was their second soccer game of the season. Way to go!

A Family Fun Day
This morning hubby, the boy and I went to brunch at Nona’s Kitchen. This was the first time we have had brunch here. We usually go here for dinner. It was really yummy. I got the Eggs Benedict; hubby got the corned beef hash and the boy got eggs. They all came with home-style potatoes. The boy had 3 big pieces of bacon with his.
Later in the afternoon the boy had a soccer game. We played his friend across the streets team. The boy and his teammates played a great game. Both teams played a great game. It was really exciting. The team played really good offense and defense. The boy did an awesome job as goalie in the second half of the game. It was sunny and windy out so it was a bit but it was fun watching the boys play. A nice way to spend a Saturday morning and afternoon.
This evening we went to the Colma Fire Department Spaghetti Feed. When my Dad was alive the whole family would get together and go to this dinner. My Dad would buy the tickets for us. It was a fun family get together. Now my Mom, brother and sisters, nieces and nephews don’t live in the area so we don’t all go as a family now. My hubby, the boy and I try to go every year but we don’t always know about it.

Soccer Opening Day
Another season of soccer. Today was my son’s Soccer Opening Day parade. It is a great place to meet up with the other folks I town because it seems like most of our town plays soccer. It is always fun to see what names the teams pick out since they get to pick their own names. A lot of the names have the color of their jerseys. My son is a light blue this year. They are called the ”Sea Titans”. Should be a fun season. Our coach also coaches his daughter’s team, too. We have had him before as a coach for soccer and baseball. Then you get to see all of the colorful banners. The under 5 years old start off the parade. They are so small and cute. Then the under 8 years are next, the under 10 years and under 12 years. My son moved up to the under 10 division this year. The kid’s love marching by and having everyone cheering him or her on. After the parade the teams take their pictures. So depending on what time your pictures are you can be there all day. It is a long day especially if you have more then one child playing soccer. Games start next weekend. The under 12 years have already started playing their games for the season.
