So I had an um interesting thing happen last Thursday. For a few weeks now I have been having
chapped lips. My lips finally got
better. Last Thursday was my work
Christmas party at a local restaurant where I have eaten before. I ordered Sloppy Tots plate to share with my
friend and co-worker. The portion is
huge. It was a very yummy dish tater tots with sloppy joe mixture with slivered
scallions on top and a bit of cheese.
The only thing I had to drink was ice water.

Dicken's Fair
Over the weekend we went to the Dickens Fair. This is the first time we have been to the Dickens Fair. My sister-in-law went with us.
It is an adventure into 19th Century Victorian London. There are lots of costumed players in the music halls, pubs, dance parties and Christmas shops. There are Dickens characters roaming the streets like Ebenezer Scrooge, Ghost of Marley, Father Christmas, Mrs. Claus, Ghost of Christmas Past and Present, chimney sweeps and more. There are lots of good food like roasted chestnuts, meat pies, pasties, bangers and mash. The meat pies were really good. We had steak and mushroom meat pies. There were a lot of really cool shops lining the different streets. There were lots of fair goers dressed up in Victorian clothes and some of them were dressed as Steam Punks which is interesting.
We had a good time. Will definitely go again next year and I may even dress up. Although I should have bought some clothes at the fair.

Musings
I can't believe this year is almost over. Christmas was good but hectic. I wasn't feeling well the whole month so it was hard to get myself going and get ready for Christmas. We drove up to my sister's house on Christmas. She lives out by Auburn. She has a nice house. They had it built on land that they had purchased years ago. We were going to drive home that night but we were too tired so we spent the night there. We didn't come prepared so we didn't have our jammie's, tooth brushes, change of clothes, etc. We drove home the next day. We stopped in Davis for a Redrum Burger. It was originally called Murder Burger but someone else had the name. We wanted to try it because my SIL said it was a good hamburger joint. It was good and their fries were yummy. A little hole in the wall place.
